2013, U10, Patrick Murphy

Entering his 9th season coaching with Sun County, Patrick Murphy returns as our U10,2013, Atom Minor Coach. This past season, Coach Murph and his team captured the 2012 Alliance Hockey Playdown Championship in Sarnia. During the Regular Season, the team finished 4th in a very competitive West Division, followed by a 2nd place finish in the Playdown Round Robin, qualifying the team for the Championship Weekend. Pat has a vast array of playing experience, at the AAA, Jr.B, and OHL levels. Well known throughout the Windsor-Essex community, Pat provides skill development coaching opportunities to all age groups, from Novice Minor Hockey, up to students in their Senior years of high school. Coach Murphy prides himself on teaching players about drive, teamwork, leadership, accountability and respect, while still being able to deliver skill, skating and shooting. Congratulations Coach Pat, and welcome back to SCP.

2012, U11, Matt Livingston

Sun County is proud to welcome former Windsor Spitfire, Matt Livingston, into our Coaching family. Matt takes over our 2012, U11 program. Through hard work and determination, Matt’s playing career took him from Team Captain in Windsor AAA, to the OHL with the Windsor Spitfires. Matt had successful stops along the way, gaining valuable experience with the Essex 73’s, Tecumseh Bulldogs, and Prince George in the BCHL. Matt has previous coaching experience with the Windsor AAA Midget program, and Tecumseh Minor Hockey. Matt brings a wealth of experience, and enthusiasm to the Sun County organization. Congratulations Coach Livingston, and welcome to Sun County.

2011, U12, Scott Prier

Scott Prier will return as the Head Coach of our 2011 program. During the 2nd ½ of the 2021/2022 season, Coach Prier steered the 11’s to a 10-7-1 combined Regular Season and Playdown record. The team finished 2nd in a very competitive West Division, with a league record of 12-6-4. Scotty brings a wealth of hockey knowledge to Sun County, having played in the BCHL with Nanaimo, four years at the University of Windsor, followed by two seasons of Professional hockey in France, including a season in the top league, Ligue Magnus. This past season, ‘Scotty’ also served as an Assistant Coach with the 2010 U12’s, and was instrumental in their Championship run. Congratulations Coach Prier, and welcome back
