Tryouts will begin April 18, 2026, for U10 - U13 and April 20, 2026, for players U14-U16. All Sun County tryouts will be held at Essex Arena.

2026 - 2027 Tryout Schedule
Tryout Fees:
Tryout fees are to be paid in full prior to the first tryout. Tryout fees are payable by credit card only. NO CASH will be accepted.
Players: $100.00
Goalies: $85.00
The tryout fees are non-refundable.
Each player will receive a jersey that they will keep and use through the entire tryout process. Goaltenders will not receive a tryout jersey and are encouraged to wear a jersey that has a name on the back. Players and goaltenders are guaranteed 2 skates. If players and goalies fail to attend a skate for any reason this will be counted as a skate.
Players will be required to check in before each tryout. Players will not require a Permission to Skate form.
Goalie Evaluation:
Sun County goalie evaluations will be available to all goalies. The sessions are optional and will cost $50. When registering this will be a cost in addition to the tryout fee. The schedule is as follows:
- April 18, 2026: U10 – U13 – 8:00am – 9:30am
- April 20, 2026: U14 – U16 – 4:00pm – 5:30pm
U14-Checking Clinic:
U14 players will be required to attend a checking clinic on April 20, 2025. The checking clinic is free of charge as this is mandatory. Players will be required to be registered and the evaluation paid to participate. The schedule will be as follows:
- Classroom Session- 9:00am- 10:00am- Shaheen Room
- On Ice Session 10:00pm- 11:00am
Preparation Skates:
Registration is open for the 2026 Pre-Evaluation Preparation Skates. These sessions are designed to give players the opportunity to get back on the ice and prepare for upcoming evaluations. They are available only to players who participated in the 2025-26 season with Sun County. The divisions in the schedule are based on the team you played on in 2025-2026.
In order to show our appreciation to all our players and families we are offering these sessions free of charge. You still must register in order to participate.

Registration for the Sun County tryouts will be completed on Spordle for 2026 - 2027. Registration is mandatory and will be required to be considered for a team. Registration for tryouts begins April 1, 2026. Please read the instructions and information found under the Registration tab.
