Kevin Beuglet
Head Coach
Kevin Beuglet
Kevin brings over 35 years of coaching and player development experience to the program and currently serves as the Assistant General Manager of the Essex 73’s Jr. C hockey team. Kevin began his coaching career as an on-ice instructor with IIHS in 1986, later becoming the organization’s Head On-Ice Instructor where he spent approximately ten years developing players of all ages and skill levels. In 2005, he began coaching minor hockey locally and in 2007 joined the BRDMHA board as Director of Player Development, further strengthening his commitment to building strong grassroots hockey programs.
Throughout his career, Kevin has built a strong reputation for developing well-rounded hockey players by focusing on individual skill growth, strong system play, and elevating players’ overall hockey IQ. His coaching philosophy emphasizes teaching players how to think and understand the game, not just play it.
Beyond on-ice performance, Kevin is deeply committed to helping players grow as individuals. He believes hockey provides a powerful platform to teach life skills such as accountability, work ethic, teamwork, and leadership — helping young athletes develop into confident young men both on and off the ice.
Kevin has also ran a checking clinic for the past 14 years, preparing players to safely and effectively transition into contact hockey. Under his guidance, U13 players will begin building the body positioning, awareness, and confidence required as they enter their final season of non-contact hockey.
Kevin is passionate about creating a competitive, positive, and development-focused environment where players are challenged, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential.
Players who are committed to improving their skills, understanding the game at a higher level, and being part of a strong team culture are strongly encouraged to attend tryouts for the upcoming season.
Coach Beuglet shared,
“My goal is to create an environment where players are pushed to improve every day, develop confidence in their abilities, and truly understand the game. I believe in developing the complete player — skill, hockey IQ, character, and work ethic — while making sure players enjoy coming to the rink and take pride in being part of a strong team culture.”
See you at the SCP tryouts!
