Aaron Snow
Head Coach
Aaron Snow
Born and raised in Windsor, Aaron Snow’s journey through elite hockey is a testament to dedication, discipline, and hard work. A product of local minor hockey, Aaron was selected 23rd overall in the OHL Draft and later 90th overall in the NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars, experiences that shaped his understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest levels of the game. Aaron is a father to a 12-year-old daughter who's passionate about art and horseback riding. She keeps him motivated everyday to become a better version of himself.
Now, Aaron is bringing that experience and knowledge back to the community that raised him.
Over the past several years, Aaron has focused on developing the next generation of athletes at all levels of the game. As the founder of Snow Hockey Training, he has built a strong reputation for teaching hockey through body positioning, purposeful movement, and situational awareness — emphasizing habits that translate directly to real game situations.
His coaching philosophy is built on three core pillars:
Clean, Consistent Reps: Elite skills are built in the details. Aaron focuses on developing strong, repeatable habits that carry over into competitive play.
Culture & Commitment: Aaron believes a strong team culture is the foundation for success. He emphasizes accountability, respect, communication, and playing for the crest. By creating an environment where players push one another, support each other, and take pride in daily habits, he aims to build a team that is connected, resilient, and committed to a common goal.
Resilience and Focus: Aaron believes elite habits are formed early, and that developing confidence, mental toughness, and an elite mindset is just as important as skill development on the ice.
As a dedicated coach, Aaron is passionate about developing players both on and off the ice. Having played the game from a young age, his love for hockey inspired him to share his experience and knowledge with athletes at various levels. His focus is on fostering skill development, teamwork, and a genuine passion for the game in every player. He is continually motivated by the progress he sees in players — both in their performance and in their personal development. Watching athletes gain confidence and improve is incredibly rewarding. He also stays motivated through his own growth as a leader and coach, as well as through the strong relationships built with players and their families. Aaron feels it's important to continue his learning with courses and seminars during his free time. His background in leading teams outside of hockey has further strengthened his passion for leadership and accountability.
With a high-tempo practice environment and strong attention to detail, Aaron is committed to creating a positive and competitive atmosphere where players develop confidence in themselves and trust in their teammates. He brings a deep understanding of the game to his coaching. He specializes in skill development, hockey IQ, and mental toughness, while focusing on developing well-rounded players who understand both the technical and strategic elements of hockey.
Coaching has allowed him to give back to the sport that has shaped so much of his life. He was drawn to coaching because he wanted to help others experience the joy, discipline, and personal growth that hockey provides, while passing on the lessons he’s learned throughout his journey. His goal is to ensure every athlete improves each time they step on the ice while laying the foundation for long-term individual growth and team success within the Sun County Panthers program.
